With TB, Shorter Treatment Approach May Work for Most Patients

Treating tuberculosis (TB) with an eight-week bedaquiline–linezolid regimen is noninferior to the standard, six-month treatment strategy, and raises no evident safety concerns, according to data from the TRUNCATE-TB (Two-Month Regimens Using Novel Combinations to Augment Treatment Effectiveness for Drug-Sensitive Tuberculosis) trial.
