Wastewater Treatment Plants May Spread Drug-Resistant Bacteria

Wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) are an important factor in the dissemination of antibiotic-resistant bacteria (ARB), according to a study presented at the 32nd European Congress of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases in Lisbon, Portugal (poster P0961).
