City COVID; Country COVID: Pandemic Playing Out Differently Across the Country

COVID-19 has not spared rural America, but the pandemic is playing out differently in less populated areas than in urban centers, according to several infectious disease experts.

Rather than the very rapid peaks seen in cities, the epidemiological curve is lagging in rural communities, which are likely to see a long, sustained outbreak, they said.
