Zika Virus Transmission Potential Expanded in Florida

By Marie Rosenthal, MS
Think outside Miami-Dade County, Fla., if you are worried about Zika transmission, warned officials from the CDC and FDA.

The agencies expanded the time and area of possible exposure from July 29, 2016 to June 15, 2016 and to encompass two neighboring counties: Broward and Palm Beach counties, announced Denise J. Jamieson, MD, incident commander, CDC Zika Emergency Response and chief of Women’s Health and Fertility Branch, Division of Reproductive Health at CDC.
