For Best Outcomes, Report AFM Cases Quickly

The CDC reported that 233 patients in 41 states—mostly young children—were affected by acute flaccid myelitis (AFM) in the latest outbreak of the mysterious disease, which occurred in 2018 (MMWR Morb Mortal Wkly Rep 2019 Jul 9. [Epub ahead of print]).
