A CDC study has found no link between influenza and tetanus, diphtheria and acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccination during pregnancy and the risk for infant hospitalization or mortality during the first six months of life.
The study reinforces recommendations from the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices that pregnant women receive these vaccines (Pediatrics [Epub Feb 20, 2018]. doi: 10.1542/peds.2017-3310).
