Got Cancer? Maybe You Need a Flu Shot

Injecting malignant tumors with an influenza vaccine might trigger an immune response, which could reduce tumor growth, according to a study conducted by researchers at Rush University Medical Center.

The researchers were inspired by data showing that patients with lung cancer who had been hospitalized with influenza-related lung infections lived longer than those with lung cancer who did not have influenza.
