Little Progress Seen in Raising HPV Vaccination Rates

Only half of eligible teens have received the HPV vaccine, and rates of vaccine coverage are increasing very slowly, according to a CDC study.

The CDC recommends that all preteens get vaccinated when they are 11 or 12 years of age to prevent cancers associated with HPV (MMWR Morb Mortal Wkly Rep 2019;68[33]:718-723).
