Human-to-Human Transmission of Klebsiella Most Common

Human-to-human transmission is responsible for the majority of Klebsiella spread, according to data from a large genomics data set presented at the 32nd European Congress of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases, in Lisbon, Portugal (poster P0938).

Additionally, the risk for humans becoming ill with Klebsiella species transmitted by non-human sources is low.
