Colby Ford, PhD, an associate faculty member at UNC-Charlotte, and Shirish Yasa, a medical student with Eastern Virginia Medical School, discuss with Infectious Disease Special Edition their work using AI tools to study highly pathogenic avian influenza (H5N1). The researchers had formerly presented their work at ASM Microbe 2025, in Los Angeles.
