Reports of apparent increases in certain antimicrobial resistance (AMR) data during the COVID-19 pandemic may be explained by how the data are calculated and may not reflect actual increases in numbers of infections, according to a study presented at the 32nd European Congress of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases (ECCMID) meeting in Lisbon, Portugal (poster P0980).
