Antibiotic resistance of common infectious bacteria, both gram-positive and gram-negative, matches up with influenza season in the United States, according to recent findings from an ecological analysis conducted by scientists with BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company), in Franklin Lakes, N.J.
“These data can help stewardship teams improve antibiotic use and establish standardizations in care during surges in influenza activity,” said lead author Vikas Gupta, PharmD,
