Clostridium difficile Infection Management Today and Tomorrow

Clostridium difficile infection (CDI) therapies to date have focused on treating the infection and more recently on minimizing the risk for recurrence. Future strategies will focus more on preventing CDI, namely, using vaccine or antibiotic neutralizing strategies. This review first summarizes the main therapeutic options for treating CDI, and then discusses the different pipeline preventive strategies for this common and problematic
