HIV transmission patterns in Wisconsin closely resemble those found nationally, thus demonstrating that statistics from lower HIV rates of infection are similar to those with higher rates, according to the CDC.
The study highlights the importance of using a combination of molecular sequencing data and named partner data to identify HIV transmission clusters and characterize risk networks (MMWR Morb Mortal Wkly Rep 2019;68[6]:149-152).
