Influenza Increases Hospitalizations for Heart Failure

Influenza activity is associated with an increase in hospitalizations for heart failure (HF), but not myocardial infarction (MI), according to the results of the ARIC (Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities) study, a large community surveillance study published in JAMA Cardiology (2019 Mar 27.
