Since 2008, there have been significant decreases in HPV precancers, due to wide adoption of HPV vaccines.
A recent CDC study, presented at the 2018 Annual EIS Conference in Atlanta, demonstrated that women receiving the HPV vaccine had a nearly 25% decrease in the proportion of cervical precancers due to HPV types 16 and 18 (abstract 4:10).
