Inappropriate Antibiotic Prescribing Patterns Differ for Children, Adults

A study exploring how insurance types can affect antibiotic prescribing found that overall rates of inappropriate antibiotic prescribing are high for adults and children. Yet, the prescribing patterns by payor status differ between children and adults, according to results presented at IDWeek 2023, held in Boston (poster 2260).
