SAN DIEGO—In a survey of medical students, nearly one-third were unaware of the practice of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for prevention of HIV infection.
Additionally, 18% of medical students in their final year of study admitted to never having been taught about PrEP strategies, according to data presented at IDWeek 2017 (abstract 879).
